Hello fellow Jersey'ans. Well since we are finally going to have a good weekend for the beach, I want to head down tomorrow and take my kids before the crowds really let in and get this pastey color off of my over-rained face!! We always go to Sea Girt or PP, but would like to try somewhere different. How is Sandy Hook? I think my dad used to take me when I was little, but i don't remeber it at all! Just want a nice family beach where I can brings our lunch and hang out! Suggestions please! Enjoy the weather this weekend

With the RT 36 bridge out of commission, you can sit in traffic forever trying to get to or from the Hook. I'd skip it this summer!

Bradley Beach and Ocean Grove are both wonderful, clean, family-friendly beaches.

Wildwood rocks!

We went twice for week long family vacations. I don't know where you are in Jersey, but if it's a reasonable drive, I would recommend it. Beaches are free, there are lots of good restaurants, the boardwalk is awesome and there is nothing like the waves on the Jersey Shore :thumbsup2
