  • Stay @ airport hotel and take disney bus for dcl transfer experience?

  • Stay @ WDW resort and take disney bus for total dcl experience?

  • Rental car to Cocoa beach, stay in hotel, and shop, have dinner, ride around and gaze at the port

  • Town car / limo to Cocoa beach resort / and stay @ resort till morning, resting up?

Which would you reccommend to do the nite before the cruise, after flying into MCO in the evening?

Thanks, MKY princess:

Actually, my choice wasn't up there. We drive down and stay at an Orlando airport hotel and do Downtown Disney the night before. Then we get up early and try to be the first ones at the port!

My choice wasn't up there either. We always stay at the Hyatt in MCO then take a limo the next morning to port.

We are also staying at MCO and taking MurrayHill Transportation the next morning!

We go down the night before, stay with friends just outside Orlando and get a ride to the port and back. Their son loves to see the "big boat". We have done this once, and hope to have them go with us on our next cruise........

My choice wasn't there either.

We do a one-way rental car (often cheaper than limo/town car) and stay at a WDW or Downtown Disney resort. We then spend the afternoon/evening at Downtown Disney and Pleasure Island.

We get up the next morning, have breakfast at our own pace, drive to the port, drop off our luggage, drop off our rental car, ride the rental car shuttle back to the ship and board.

we don't always stay at the Hyatt, but it sure is fast and easy when we do. We sometimes like to get a rental car and go to a dinner theater show the night before.

Looks like my poll is kinda split too. I want to go to cocoa beach and be near the port, too excited to stay in orlando, 1st cruise! And Sis want's to take Disney bus and do Hyatt! Help! :chat:

My choice wasn't there either. We have stayed at one of the All-Stars resorts the night before the last 2 times. This time we will leave straight from home. We only live 2 and a half hours from Port Canaveral.

We are staying at the Radisson by the Port. Planning on bein' there early!

I didn't see this choice available, but we stay at a WDW resort (usually Boardwalk, although last time we tried Pop Century) the night before. We rent a car from Budget, then return it to the Port Canaveral location as a one-way rental the next day, taking the Budget shuttle to port. When we return, the Budget shuttle picks us back up and we rent a car for the drive back to MCO (sometimes with a stop at the Boardwalk's ESPN Club for lunch before heading out). It's a bit of driving, but we enjoy the experience. We've never had to wait more than 15 minutes for the shuttle. Plus, for us, it was less expensive that taking the Disney transportation. We rented an economy both ways and were upgraded to mid-size both ways.
