Nintendo DSi~Black Friday Deals????

Okay so DD(12) has had a DS lite for years, she loves it, but dropped it one too many times, and now it is literally being held together with duct tape and a prayer.
She has asked for a new DSi (not 3DS or the XL) for Christmas (any color but PINK, lol). The going price seems to be $149-$150 at the big stores like Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Target, and TRU. They have a bundle at Wal-Mart for $159 that comes with a case and a game, but she doesn't use the case (got one for her DS lite and it's still in the package), and I don't see any games she would really like in that offer.
I was hoping for a Black Friday deal on this, but so far no luck. If anyone sees any stores with this system on sale, or any Black Friday deals on this particular system, I would appreciate a heads up. THANKS!

I haven't seen any BF deals yet. However, if you aren't picky on color, Target has white DSI's for 119. The black, pink, aqua are 149. Since I put a nerf case on my kiddos' DSs anyway, I went ahead and got the white one for my youngest son.

eta: my daughter doesn't have a case on hers, though. She has some Hello Kitty sticker thing to spruce it up.

If the old one is broken because it was dropped, I woudl insiist it have a Nerf case on it and that she keep the case on. No case, no DSi. The case is to protect it and since you need to replace it, it obviously needs the protection.

That's a good idea, but I can't say much to her, she's had it for about 4 years. I've went through 2 cell phones in that amount of time for the same reason.
She bought the first one with her own money anyway, and that's all she's asked for this Christmas, I figure I can spring for it this time. I just wish I could find one cheaper.

Someone posted on another board that Radio Shack has them for cheap right now -- like $89 I think. It isn't advertised. You just have to go in and ask. It would be worth a try. It seems too good to be true

Check the Walmart Black Friday deals. They just came out last night. I'm pretty sure they had a Dsi bundle at a good price. I briefly looked at it but I'm pretty sure you could choose items for your bundle. For example I think there was a car charger and other little accessories to choose from. Again, not sure on specifics but it's worth looking into!!!

Traditionally BF deals for DS/DSi/Xl have all been value added and not lower in price. Like they would throw in a game/gift card/accessories etc with it for the same price but the price is never lower.

You should try from Amazon, depends on where you stay you atleast dont pay the tax plus on BF deals amazon kind of price matches every good deal.

Yes...definitely keep an eye on Amazon. If I remember, they had some specials last year - maybe lightning deals even - I can't remember exact prices.
I just looked at WM bf ad and I didn't see DS deals at all.

Radio Shack has a DSi in black only for $79.99 available only in stores. I'm thinking about getting one for DD8 and buying a pink sleeve for $9.99. Save me $60 that way.

Where did you see Radio Shack having the black DSi for that price? I had called a couple stores nearby and they were unaware of this sale.

Thanks so so much. This is a present for DH for Christmas. We have been without one for nearly a year when our 3 year old broke our last one.
Taking this to Wal-mart is also a good idea. I am going to try that tomorrow.

I could be wrong, but I'm not sure that DSi deal is current at Radio Shack. There was a thread on here from last year for the same price, and I went and asked about a month ago at my local store, but they didn't have any. I would be surprised if Walmart price matched it, but I have never tried. Good luck.

This IS a current offer (see link above). My local Wal-Mart accepted it yesterday, she just had to have a CM okay the transaction because of the huge price difference. I printed the ad that I linked above and took it with me. The only problem was that it had to be a BLACK one, like in the ad. My Wal-Mart only had two of them, so you may have to check around and make sure your Wal-Mart has a black one. Other than that you should be golden, unless you get a snotty CM or something, in which case I would just check another Wal-Mart. The employees at my Wal-Mart were great!

I think they did this last year too (may have been a different color), but when I was trying to find the ad to print, I ran across some old threads that mentioned it from last year, but the ad that I found and printed, was current. Maybe it's something they do every year. Might have to keep that in mind when my other DD is ready for another DSi, or when DS gets tired of his Leapster!

Thank you, thank, thank you for sharing! Our RadioShack didn't have any but my husband asked them to print a register price quote. I took the website printout & the price quote to WalMart. They originally said they couldn't match the price since it wasn't from an actual printed ad. I patiently & politely worked my way up through several levels of management until they finally matched the price. The employees were really nice & patient (it took about 45 minutes from start to finish) and seemed genuinely happy when they finally got permission to give me that price on my TWO DSis. I'm so excited I almost can't wait until Christmas to give them to my boys!
