Callum wants one for his birthday, anything I should watch out for, is the 'lite' version standard now? any suggestions for games that are cheaper than the seemingly standard price of around £30, do games bought in the US work or is it like Playstation.

and Mini-Matt, which pokemon game would you recommend? bear in mind he has a lot of them on GBA

Hi Carol, with regard to the games, games purchased in the US play fine, and are only around $30.

The games are identical whether you have the DS or DS Lite, it's only the chargers that are different (they have a different connection, which I found out after having purchased the wrong one!).

That's about all I know I am afraid :flower3:

The only thing I can think of is getting the right colour. I'm sure your DS wouldn't want a pink one! My DH got me a black one for my birthday and there is also a white one. They might bring a different colour out for christmas which can happen sometimes to sell more.
Tesco is quite good pricewise for games (and Tesco Jersey sells them cheaper too online) but don't hold a huge amount and also I got but one get one free games in the shop GAME. Both also can do special internet offers as well if you check.
Hopefully this will help!

As Mentioned by Kristie Carol, American Games do work on any European DS, and vice versa for pretty much anything. I know this because I bought Pokemon Diamond while on vacation.. :thumbsup2 :lmao:

As Also Mentioned, the DS chargers are different for the Lite and the regular kind. However, you should get a charger with the DS so you'll be fine whatever you pick.. :)

The Lite is the newest one but it doesn't matter which one you buy; all DS games worth for Both of them. As for the Games themselves, most of them are around that Price-range, unless you import from america, it seems unlikely to change.

As For Pokemon, Diamond and Pearl are the Obvious Choices here Carol, being the ones that were Recently Released, and the only ones for the DS. However, do note that Pokemon from Game Boy Advance Games can be Imported into the DS version too (Note also it is one way; the pokemon will permantaly be in the DS cartridge), and that inserting certain Carts yield certain Pokemon. You gotta Buy them all before you can catch them all.. :)

Hope this helps, good luck! :goodvibes

thanks folks - and Matt, I have no idea what you said but I'm sure it will make sense to Callum:lmao:
