I don't know if it was Friday only or through the weekend, but if you have a Hastings near you, they offer the DS Lite for $129.99 with a $20 mail-in rebate. I haven't seen a brand new one for $109.99 anywhere else.

Ok, thanks so much! So these starter kits and things I'm seeing aren't necessary then? Are screen protectors and extra pens a good idea? Told you I was clueless....

While not necessary, very helpful. The starter kits we've gotten have had very useful items, headphones, car charger, & protective case. I think the ds comes with an extra stylus and the screen protector is a good idea.

Is it true that the Gameboy Advance games will play on the DS system?? How good are the graphics if the gameboy advance games do work on the DS system?? I noticed that I can get quite a few of disney gameboy advance games used for a good price on amazon.com

Yes, the DS will play the GBA games. The graphics aren't as good as DS games and you need to use the control pad rather than the touch screen/stylus to play them. I don't think I'd buy a lot of GBA games but it's nice to be able to use ones you already have on the DS. If you were going to get a DS just to play GBA games I don't think it would be worth the money.

Hi all, i have been away last week at WDW, so i am trying to play catch up, but it's all so overwhelming with these sales from last weekend, i can't tell what is still valid..
Are there any good package deals with the DS and a game or two that anyone knows of? Or is it better to buy the pink ribbon one at Amazon then add a game or two separately?

I had NO $$ before this past Saturday...so couldn't do any BF deals..but now the $ is here..and need to get this for my DS...(He'd like the Mario bundle but if there is a better deal out there...I'll just get him something else).

Wish he was a girl...Love the $99.99 deal (pink one) at Amazon...but he would NOT want pink (LOL).
