I was apprehensive about trying out this restaurant. It has been a few years since we ate there and it was just mediocre at best back then. Well, we were in EPCOT just winging it and decided to give it a shot, and boy, I'm glad we did!!!:cool1:

We just ate there two days ago and it was phenomenal! We had the basic dining plan and was able to get the special that was 40.00/person. It came with appetizer, choice of soup, choice of entree and dessert.

The hot and sour soup was delicious. I had the spicy fish and it was delicate and decadent. The different spices and flavors married so well and made for such an outstanding dish. It was a huge bowl and I mean HUGE filled with at least 15 pieces of a very moist and tender white fish, bok choy, soy, cabbage, mushrooms, spices and onions. My oldest daughter had the general tso's chicken and the portion was HUGE and absolutely fantastic! The sauce was light and spicy and there wasn't too much of it, just perfect. My husband had the steak and shrimp and said it was the best chinese meal he had ever had. For dessert I had the banana cheesecake eggroll - so good my eyes almost crossed! It had a light crunchy outside with a creamy, gooey inside, soooooo good.

We really fell in love with this restaurant and will be back over and over.

I am so glad that finally somebody have something good to write about Nine Dragon. Last year when my friends returned from WDW and warned us not to try 9 dragon. They claimed that the food was sooo bad and the restaurant didn't know how to make "General Tso" like the ones in their local Mall:scared1: What a novice!! We didn't listen to any of that. Try it for the first time in November. The food was very good. I believed it's way better than what everyone thinks Chinese food supposed to taste. :thumbsup2

We love 9 Dragons before and after the refurbishment - it's our "tradition" now - the last Disney restaurant we eat at on vacations. We've had the same server a few times too - she is brilliant and is so excited to see us everytime too - makes the magic for us!!

We haven't been to ND since our honeymoon over 7 yrs ago... we remembered loving the honey sesame chicken, but every trip since then we either weren't with people who wanted to go there or the place was closed!

Like last year, we were on our way in when dbil said he didn't want Chinese... we knew we'd be back a week later, so didn't think much of it. A week later - CLOSED! So wrong! We hope the changes are good... planning on going back this summer.

The banana eggroll dessert sounds like Nine Dragons will put me on :cloud9: (Is that where they got the "Nine" from in that expression?! :) )

We ate there last weekend. And I fell in love with the chai ice tea.
Our meal and service were very good too. And we like the new decor. :thumbsup2
