Nikon Coolpix S210

Anyone have an opinion on this camera? Our S2 IS died, so I need to replace it with something for the DW and DDs to use. They did not like the size of the S2 or even use the zoom anyway, so I decided to go small (pocketable). This Nikon seems to have better medium ISO performance than the others in the same price range. High ISO is as expected with any small sensor. It has a strange version of VR that sounds sort of like Focus Magic and from what I can tell can be applied after the fact. Also, manual controls are not important.

The S210 seems to be built very well and I was suprised how small it was. The lens seems to be very good for that pricepoint camera. I know 2 people that have it and they both love them. The control seemed to be very user friendly. And Nikon just put an instant $30.00 rebate on them last week. You may want to look at the kit, it comes with Nikons extended wanratee and a case.

Thank you. The one I am looking at has the instant rebate. It is the purple model, which means nothing to me, but the ladies of the house like it. I am probably going to get it tomorrow.

Yes I know my DD wanted a pink digital camera for christmas.
