Has anyone had experience with this lens (Nikkor 18-35mm f/3.5-4.5 G ED)?
I'm thinking seriously about using this a good walk-around lens on my D610. It has had great reviews and has a reputation of being an extremely sharp lens. I already own a 50mm f/1.4 and a 70-200mm f/2.8 VR2. I would very much like to go for the 24-70mm f/2.8 but my daughter is getting married in the spring and my son getting married in the late fall so I can't justify that expense at this time. If anyone owns one or has used one your opinions and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks...

I don't know the specifics of that lens. But on the d610, full frame, that's very wide to use as walk-around. I was in a similar situation, looking for a cheap walk-around, not ready to spend hugs dollars on a 24-70/2.8, and I've mostly settled on a 35-105.
If you're mostly doing landscapes, 18-35 is fine. But it's much too wide for people shots and other shots.
