My dad just had knee surgery on Thursday. He has already booked an ECV for our trip from July 6-13th. We have no experience with using an ECV at Disney World. He is going to try to walk some and use the ECV some. If he uses it at night, how does that work with Happily Ever After or Fantasmic?

There are designated handicap spots, but obviously they are limited. Come early to secure a spot.

For Fantasmic you could get a dinner package that includes the show. This would give you reserved seating for the Fantasmic show. You get a special pass. These dinner/show ressies can be hard to get; so, book early if you are going to do it.

You can also do a dessert party for Happily Ever After and get reserved seating for that show.

The Fantasmic seating is a whole section of the theater from front to back of the theater.

The first picture shows the accessible area for Fantasmic. I marked it for you.539F5745-3F82-43F1-82F2-33B94E68C8F3.jpeg
The very back row is wheelchair spots with small benches benches between the spots. Each wheelchair spot has one companion spot right next to it and the rest of your group will sit directly in front of you. Those are the red markers on the picture.

There are 2 rows of designated handicapped benches. Some of the people are companions and some are people who have parked their mobility device and moved to a bench. Those are marked with blue stars.

There are a very few wheelchair seats in the very front row. I don’t know if those are included in the Fantasmic package or not. If they are not in the package area, you would need to arrive very early for those. There are only a few of them.

Guests can stay seated on their mobility device and park in one of those spots (until all are taken) or park their ECV/wheelchair nearby and transfer to a bench in the marked handicapped area (the CM will show you where to park).
