Nighttime events at US and IOA?

We will be at Universal from Aug. 5 through Aug. 10. Can someone tell me if the parks have any nighttime events like fireworks, etc. as does Disney. If so, where and when?

I was trying to figure out the same thing for last week of August. There seems to be no way to find out without calling Universal.

Most likely there will be a fireworks laser show (Universal's Cinesphere 360) through Aug. 18. After the 18th, the park closes too early for the show.

They only have it on nights that the park is open late. It looks like the park is open late every night in August through the 18th. The show usually starts around 9:50 or 10:00 PM. It's in the lagoon at Universal Studios.

Can you post a link to the park hours?

I was planning to WDW for 2 weeks, but package I want to book will not be offered the first few nights of our trip. Instead of doing a split stay I thought we'd try out WS/AOA.

If we go, we'll be there August 22-26. I really hope the parks don't close too early.
