HI everyone. I'm new to scrapbooking and am working on my honeymoon book. I'm doing a fireworks layout but really need a nighttime shot of the castle. Does anyone have one that I could download and print?

Thank you so much in advance.

Jamie

Most of them were shot in raw format so I couldn't get them into photobucket but these are some good ones from our first trip.

Thank you so much but snapfish won't let me order them in a pic because of the resolution. Do you think that you can email me the photos directly?

I have a good one too. If you PM me your email I would be happy to send it to you.
Where in the world is Forks township? I am from Media PA

This is a question for Bernard and MissBianca - that second picture in your response is a great one. How did you manage to get the castle so bright. I love that picture and would love to be able to take one of my own next month. Can you tell me if you did anything special?

There really isn't to much to tell. My DH took it with a Canon Powershot I'm not sure if DH changed any of the settings, I'll call him after he wakes up.

We were in the Rose Garden which is to the right of the castle at the entrance of the hub to tomorrow land. We had a mono pod strapped to the railing at the very end of the garden. The shot itself was immediately after the finale of the fireworks.

I'll try to get some more info later.

Here's the quote from DH :

I think that one was like a 2 or 2.5 second exposure at f4, but I wouldn't swear to it.

My camera has a fireworks setting that does that. I've always had bad luck because I just can't hold it still for that long so they always come out blurry.

For my next trip I'm bringing a tripod. I have a normal size one I'm going to bring for taping a few parades, etc., but I'm trying to find one of those mini-ones that I can bring with me the rest of the time. Haven't found a good one yet - but I'm working on it 'cause I want some kickin' fireworks pics. :)

I just sent DH a text to see what we use. The hardest part was lugging it around all day. We went with a tall one because we can shoot over peoples heads.

OK we have giottos MT8170, he thinks. However if we had it to do over he would buy the Gitzo traveller, with Really Right Stuff ballheads, but they are pretty expensive.

The rose garden is a great spot for the fireworks because you can put the tripod on the other side of the railing. You have to camp out early though to get a good spot up against the railing.

BTW I forgot to tell you if you are going after Thanksgiving they will have all of the chocolate sculptors at the resorts. Those are a must see!

You know...it's no joke about it being addicting LOL. I didn't know there was a "swap" forum until you pointed it out to me...my God, I'm already thinking of ideas of what kind of border or what have you I could make.

It's gonna be a long time until the new year, but then again...i guess it's okay...since I get to spend a week at WDW between now and then.

The last few days I've been so scrap-obsessed that I kind of forgot that I was going. In fact, I haven't done any planning in weeks.

This feels like one of those "which came first, the chicken or the egg?" questions...

One obsession feeds the other. Kind of like DH and I, he loves to take pics and I love to scrap them. We took 5000 pictures on a 10 day trip at xmas. And that was after I deleted the bad ones.

Start sketching your ideas now, so you don't forget. I carry a notebook with me everywhere. Especially when I'm at the scrap store, I'll see something that might work so I'll jot it down. You get to know this phrase from me, "Fleeting moments of clarity". I get those and go to town. The notepad and tape recorder come out and away I go. If not it's gone in seconds.

And definitely make a list of the shots you want before you go. DH and I did that on the trip in Aug without the kids and it was nice, we got some shots that took awhile but I really wanted. Including one of the Stave Church in Norway. We had to have a long exposure to blur the people out but it turned out really nicely. I used the pic in the Tags and Topper swap.
