Hi All, just wanted to start a post for all you DLR people and Nightmare fans. I am a huge Nightmare fan, I was just curious do you think they will do anything special for the 20th Anniversary of the release, I just figured out it would be in 2013, how wild would that be??? Have they ever done anything in the past that I have missed???

Also just curiuos, do you know if they sell anything at the build a bear in Downtown Disney at DLR related to Nightmare.

One more thing, all my friends that are able to go to DLR, could you keep an eye out and let me know what Nightmare merchandise they have, I can call and order then if I know where it was at. It would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all so much.

Hope to hear from other Nightmare fans and keep this thread going.:goodvibes

Don't know the answer to all those questions but we love NBC here too. We bought a Blu-ray player so that we could watch it in Blu-ray! :rotfl2: And I must say, it was amazing to see all the detail!

They have a store at DL called Le Bat N Rouge, forgive me if I spelled it wrong. It is a small store but we sure spent a long time there last time. My boys got Jack Skellington bobble heads. We already had the little plastic figurine set my DH picked up there the time before. Oh, and we also got a key topper of Jack for DH's house key.

Hi There, Thanks for letting me know, I know that store well, I just wish I knew what they had in there right now, would love to place an order, hoping someone who is going soon can maybe snap a few pictures or let me know. If anyone else has any ideas or suggestions, let me know.

I think it would be so cool if they did something big for the 20th anniversary since it is in the year 2013.

I'll be there this weekend, if I have time to drop into the store I'll snap some photos. They had some super cute shirts when we were there last and DBF got himself a sweatshirt with his bday money. :)

We love NBC too, from the movie to the merch to the HMH, we love it all! :)

Im not sure about the parks, but I know that they did release alot of 10th aniversary stuff in the Disney store when it happened. Other retailers also participated, I know hot topic had alot of merchandise that said 10 Aniversary TNBC I got a jacket there. As far as the parks are concerned the may do somthing around the haunted mansion in during the overlay but other wise probably not.

One of the good places to find some extra NBC stuff are comic book stores. I found a great cardboard cutout of Jack, Sally and Zero. (The cardboard cutouts can be found everywhere on the 'net too).

Every year, we do a 'haunted garage' and this year we're taking it one step further and are going to make much more Jack-themed for the visitors. I'll hopefully come across some new items which I'll share info about.

The one thing I've always been seeking however is the song they play outside the mansion when NBC is the theme. I have never been able to find it. My daughter always wants me to hold her and dance slowly with her when she hears it and it would just warm my heart to have that song at home.

I was just there and the merch. has shrunk as it is off season. They have several hats (cabbie and Baseball), drink glasses (I have these if you want to see them), a water bottle (have that too its so awesome I got a second one!), travel coffee cup, mugs, several shirts, purses/bags, sweatshirts, and some other clothing items.

For special merch. I noticed the large statue (I wish I had room to display it) with the Behemoth pulling scarecrow jack on a scarecrow horse, its a stunning piece, is still there. They still have the light boxes, with a little jack in his sleigh flying over the city. Some of the large floor statues, with Jack and Sally. I know I saw one of the charm bracelets, and some of the other limited edition jewlery in the Le Bat store. They also still had one of the $150 (??) editions of the movie still available with the talking Jack Bust.

For the 15th anniversary in 2008, I saw a few pieces of special merch, but nothing like for the 10th. One thing to keep in mind, though I am not sure how long the agreement is for, NECA actually has one of the largest licensing agreements for the movie then anyone. That is why you will see so much of this brand in the parks, Hot Topic and everywhere else. So in some ways NECA has the most control on new products. The most evil thing is they show their prototypes every year in July at Comic Con, sadly not everything goes into production (why does the best stuff always seem to get cut :sad1: ) I think if NECA pushes the anniversary we will see more product, not if Disney decides.

In the end my thought is DLR will probably do nothing for the 20th anniversary of the movie, BUT I think there is a chance to see in 2011 a possible anniversary celebration of the HMH if it stays as a yearly event as that will be the 10 year anniversary of the HMH, which is more directly tied to the parks.

There was (is?) a CD of the whole mansion overlay, have you looked to see if the song is on there?? You might also be able to find it online if it was on the CD.

ETA- Well it seems if you are looking for the music box piece of music, it is actually from the Paris Disneyland Haunted Mansion, well according to this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haunted_Mansion_Holiday maybe that should make it easier to find :)

Yes!!! I've always had a hard time trying to describe the music to people, but yes you nailed it, the jukebox music! If I find it now, I owe you!!!

That would be so awesome and greatly appreciated. The water bottle that another poster was talking about sounds cool, I might have to get myself one of those for work but would be curious to see what else they have. :goodvibes
