My wife and I are arriving for a very quick Food and Wine trip in late October. We will most likely be all checked in to Beach Club by around 5:00pm. That evening we really have no plans. I was hoping to get a res at California Grill but it has not happened yet. Figuring it doesn't what spot has better night life? Disney Springs or the Boardwalk? We have stayed at Boardwalk several times but never just the two of us so I am not really aware of their night time options. Looking for a spot to have some adult beverages and maybe get our groove on LOL.

Jellyrolls is right there and walking distance. It should fill your "get your groove on" request :)

Hi Bob! Why not just spend a night on the Boardwalk. I worry about making ADR's on arrival night. If you have any delays that cause you to miss your special dinner that just isn't the way you want to start your trip. I would plan on checking in at the Beach Club and after getting settled wander over to the ESPN Club or the Big River Grille & Brewing Works for a casual dinner with no ADR needed. After dinner, walk around and enjoy the entertainment on the Boardwalk until you eventually end up at Jellyrolls! The dueling piano bar is so much fun! If you are looking to go out dancing Atlantic Dance Hall is just a little further down the Boardwalk.

If you find you are really in need of dinner and don't want to walk over to the Boardwalk - Hurricane Hannah's is right at the Beach Club and they have great burgers. You can sit, have a burger and look at that awesome pool complex of Stormalong Bay!

I think you'll find plenty of action right on the Boardwalk on your arrival night!

Sounds like a plan. We will most likely bounce around the Boardwalk. I know I can get my rye Manhattan at the bar just above Flying Fish.

The Bellevue Lounge is a nice place to kick off your trip!

I have to disagree that DTD is a mess. Yes, there is a lot of construction going on. However, with the addition of The Boathouse and now the Hangar Bar to go along with Raglan Road and Lava Lounge ... There is more to do in the way of "night life" at DTD than there is at the Boardwalk. The dinning options in DTD are much more as well. Morimoto's is opening in a few days and should be good to go when you arrive late in October for sure. Though there is no dancing type places in DTD.

Now that one of the new ramps to the garage for cars and pedestrian bridges is now open at DTD ... Traffic flow is much better than it was before they opened.

Plus, no cover charges at any place in DTD. Last time we went to the Boardwalk, Jellyrolls was $12.00 per person and Atlantic Dance Hall was the same. This was no more than three weeks ago.

To me, DTD is just more of an adult night life location that the Boardwalk is right now. My opinion of course.

Of the two, I like the Boardwalk better just because it is less crowded. Jellyrolls is a blast. It's a $12 cover and the drinks are pricey, but the show is a riot and seems to get more fun as the night progresses (read: as you have more beverages). No dancing really, but you write your song requests on napkins and set them down on the pianos. Lots of laughs.

Another vote for Boardwalk. Jellyrolls is great. I'm not sure if they do it on all nights, but we've gone into the Dance Hall a couple times and they were playing throwback (90s-00s) music videos. It was quite entertaining, but usually pretty empty.

You will find some nightlife options on the Boardwalk -- likely "sufficient" options, but you will have far more choices at Disney Springs. If it's just a matter of grabbing a drink and hearing some music, the Boardwalk may be fine for you. If you really want a full adult night out, you may be better off at Disney Springs
