A friend of mine went on the Holiday Tour a couple of years ago during the nighttime and I seem to recall she had preferred seating for fireworks, not the preferred seating for the parade that seems to be offered now.

Does anyone have any info on this??

I'm very confused, too, because some have posted here that they've already booked this year's Holiday Tour, but when I called yesterday and today, the CMs have told me they don't yet have a schedule and are not currently booking the Tour!:scared1:

Thanks!

For when are you trying to book? Since they only book one month out, if you're trying for a date on or after 11/16, what they're telling you would be correct. I called on 10/13 and got reservations for 11/13.

Sorry, can't address your first question. I do know that the 3pm tour I have booked has seating for the 5:30 parade. Since we will be off of Daylight Saving Time by then, it likely will be dark (or pretty close to it) for the parade. It seems to me that if they tried to coordinate a tour around the fireworks schedule, the entire tour would be in the dark, which doesn't seem like too much fun.

Right now there is no preferred seating for "Believe...In Holiday Magic" fireworks for the Holiday tour.

Ariel 224: I didn't even give them any dates...two different CMs told me they weren't currently booking the Tour and do no yet have the schedule. That's what is freaky.....because I know for a fact that DISers are booking the Tour!

mvf: They don't have it right now, but what about adding it soon? Any ideas about this?

Thanks.

We booked for nov. 12 but the first cm I talked to told me I couldn't book it. My husband called back and talked to another cm who was able to book it for us.

I said that the Holiday tour does not have preferred seating for the fireworks. It would be nice if that was part of the Holiday tour, but for DL management it doesn't make sense for them. The management have to set up a viewing area for the fireworks and I was wondering where they would have the reserved viewing area for the Holiday Tour guests. The reserved seating area at the Hub is for the VIPs only. If the tour does include reserved seating for the fireworks, the price would be a little bit more than the original price of $64.

The tour has about 3 groups for each time and around 10-20 people per group. They have one tour time a day or two and that would be around combine of both times of 30-120 guests for the viewing area for the fireworks at night. The reserved seating for the parade takes up a lot of space on the other side of IASWH just for three groups of each time.

Is the seating for the poarade on a platform so each row gets a clear view?

There is no platform, the viewing area for the preferred seating is right by the parade route across IASWH and when they set up the chairs for the preferred seating, the CMs set up in three rows of chairs. There were three Tour groups seating areas set up of three rows for the preferred viewing for the parade. There was a fourth row behind us but that was for the CM Tour guides. I was in the 2nd row and the group closest to the parade gate when I did the tour last year. You can see my youtube video of A Christmas Fantasy Parade from the preferred viewing area.
