;)

I paid 20 when I went to fantasmic 3 years ago. I reall didn't play with it much after the show.

Given where all our minds are, looks to me like Disney's missing a marketing segment in the store lineup at DTD :cool1: :rotfl: :love1: :rotfl2:

You know, I was going to post on this thread, and tell about this cool night time toy that my DH has that he really enjoys and that he gets many comments and compliments on, but it's just gonna sound dirty somehow now... :rotfl2: (No, I'll still tell, I guess...he has this cool light-up, flashing, multi-colored, mouthpiece that goes behind the teeth to give you a cool light-up, flashing, multi-colored, smile.)

do any of you remember the old fiber optic light up toys?

that is what I remember being one of my favorite toys from WDW.

Glad to hear I was also in the majority here of first thoughts...actually took me a few moments to actually open the thread...

There are some cool night time "toys" being sold now my kids are passed that age almost so I haven't investigated recently

My mom sent us one for New Year's Eve, we've had a blast with it! Not sure, but I'll bet you can get it here>>>

http://www.chemlite.com/glow-sticks-home.asp

They have the ice cubes, they even have the light up mouth item mentioned above...

However, you have to order so many of them!! I'd love to order some ice cubes, but you have to order 2 DOZEN! hmmm, there probably on ebay...

also, check those party stores!

OKay, I did some searching. The message things are called Skyliners.
This is the cheapest place online that I found:

Skyliner Virtual Message Writer
$18.95
at http://www.clubthings.com/product318.html

The do have some pocket versions that are a bit cheaper. Around 13-14 dollars. This site aso has a bunch of cool stuff on it for parties.

http://www.epartyunlimited.com/skywriter.html

Now, if a bunch of you want to get together and buy some, there was a fundraiser package at this site.

http://www.bitwisegifts.com/page/bg/PROD/36000/24016

You can get them for around 10-11 dollars each that way.

Oh And I did find some on ebay. One persons starting price around 15.99. Do a search for skyliner.

I hope this helps and good luck.

Just want to point out you guys are great parents for buying the glow stuff :3dglasses. My dad saw it as a waste of money, (which it was, but still!) and wouldn't ever buy it. Of course, he was the type to give me a flashlight when we were camping and keep telling me to turn it off, to not waste the batteries. (Not because we didn't have money, just because he was cheap!) :sad2: So of course I am now obsessed with buying glow! ::yes:: But my point is kids do love this stuff and will remember it. Best wishes and have fun! :wizard:

Thanks for sharing that!

I'll tell you, my dad was the same way, now that he is a GRANDFATHER... he has changed completely! :confused3

and maybe that is why I dont mind buying them!! I ENJOY THEM!! I was looking at that site, and I really want a flashing hat, and feather boa for the MNSSHP! :rotfl:

Do you think our fundraiser team will notice when I add a "few things" to our list this summer?? :rotfl2:

(that glowing mouthpiece is listed on the web addy I gave on page 2, I think my dh would look smokin in it! :rotfl: (for MNSSHP - I'm dressin him in tie dye, greatful dead shirts, birks, and a hat that has tie dye hair attatched!! :rotfl: )

Okay, I couldn't stand not commenting after seeing your reply about your Dad.

My Dad is the same way!! When we were kids he would take us to the beach and we wanted fish for supper, he one time took us to McDonalds and bought fish sandwiches!! And now for my son, he brings something new home everyday. LOL
:rotfl:
He also was the "disciplinarian" when I was growing up. And now he wouldn't even look sideways if my son was throwing food accross the room. It is wild how parents change once they become Grandparents.
:confused3

But it's all good... right? :)
