Night time shows/firworks

Trying to plan our touring schedule. Is there anything at night, like fireworks that we must see? If so which parks? Also how will I know when the parade will take place? Thanks

If the official WDW site has the hours posted for the dates of your trip, go to the calendars for the parks and click on the date (i.e., click on the number 4 on the calendar square for the 4th of the month), and it will show parade and fireworks schedules for that date. As I recall, Fantasmic at MGM is shown an hour before park closing, and there are usually two shows when the park is open late during busy times. Illuminations in Epcot is consistently at 9 PM. I haven't been to MK at a busy time - I know Wishes is shown at park closing time when the park isn't open very late. Parades are usually mid-afternoon, like 3 PM. I'm sure other experts can be more specific.

There are nightime fireworks shows at MK (Wishes; I think the time on this changes) and Epcot (Illuminations is every night at 9). Both are great and, time permitting, should be seen at least once. MGM also has a nightime show called Fantasmic, which is also great. I think there are other evening shows as well, but I am not as familiar with those.

MK, AK and MGM have daily parades that are all quite fun. Check out the official Disney World web site for more info on all of these and their times.

As you enter each park, you can pick up a list of parades and shows and the times. They are usually where the park maps are. The fireworks, in my opinion, at MK and Epcot are not to be missed. Fantasmic at MGM is not to be missed.

Spectromagic is a nighttime parade at MK. It's a definite must-see! I love this parade. They don't offer it every night. Just check the official WDW calendar to find out when it will be during your visit.
