Night time in December

Hello, ive been wondering how dark it will get while we are in the park in December. We are planning on the 2nd week of December, so we know the hours well be shorter. But we were wondering when Sunset was and if it got that dark before DL would close.

You can expect total lights out by 5:30pm. But it will start to get chilly even before then...so bring your long sleeve shirts and sweaters! We go every year in December, and we always have enough time to do everything we want, even though the park closes a little earlier those first 2 weeks of Dec. have fun! According to timeanddate.com, sunset will be around 4:45PM from the end of November through mid-December.

Although DCA closes at 6:00PM some days, I don't think DL ever does. Last year, its weekday hours were until 8:00PM, iirc, with Fireworks scheduled at 7:45PM.

Awsome, thanx guys for helping. I cant wait for december, My family has only gone in the spring time to DL, so im excited to see it decorated and hopefully fewer people Anyway, ty for the info

ive been befor for jan 1st it was my sisters bday and ariel signed book saying happy bday hu man
it was the cutest thing ever

Now my son has nefver seen disney all decked out for christmas and its gona be his bday mine, my dads and sisters..lol (we are way to close of bdays)

DL will close at 8 at the earliest, except the first Mon and Tue in December. Those nights it will close at 6 for the CM holiday parties.

Ok, so ive got another question now... lol, my minds racing. We are doing all of the reservations seperate, since it seperate saves like 250 than what it would cost to do it threw disney. Now Im wondering, can we still do character breakfasts/ other dining in the Disneyhotel even though we are not staying there?

You can do whatever meals you want no matter where you are staying! And DL NEVER closes at 6pm (execpt for those CM parties like the pp said....), DCA ususally closes quite early though. But I think DCA is small enough for about a half day trip (mayeb that's because we just go on all the major, fun rides???)

The fireworks are almost alwasy 15-20 minutes before the close of the park. but Main Street stays open a whole extra hour after the theme park closes, so do your shopping during this time, or in DTD. I hate wasting theme park time souvie shopping.....
