I am booking in a few days and plan to do the Fantasmic dining package (show@8:30pm), the Rivers of Light dining package (show@8:30) and a fastpass for Illuminations (show@9pm).

We planned to arrive at the park early before ROL and Fantasmic for a quick service dinner. Is 6:30pm an ok time to do that (we are leaving the parks for the afternoon)? Can we take food into the show?

Before Illuminations, we were going to make a reservation at Via Napoli. Again, would 6:30pm be an ok time? Or too late?

Thanks in advance :)

Just a quick note that some RoL dinners are not bookable yet for 2018 (I'm waiting for January). AK schedule is not published yet. For a quick dinner for Fantasmic that should be fine but not for Brown Derby or Tiffins type of experience.

Thanks!!! I might skip Via Napoli in that case. I thought they might not be bookable yet but last year after I booked Tusker and ROL was released I just cancelled and rebooked and got it. I know the night shows might change but I'm planning for them to be the same as last year. If they change I'll have to adjust :)

They won't let you book a 6:30 dining package for an 8:30 show. If you look on the Disney website under the description your reservation has to be a certain amount of time prior to the show. For example for Tusker House it must be 2.5 hours prior to show time and for Tiffins 3 hours.

Thanks for the response! Sorry I don't think I was very clear :) I am making the reservations for around 12pm. We are going home for the afternoon then coming back to the park.

So when we get back we will just be having a quick service dinner. I'm trying to figure out when we should stop doing rides and trails and eat with time left to make the show!

Via Napoli is the exception for illuminations since there is no dining package but I'm thinking I might just not do that one (even though my son LOVES pizza :)

Yes, a 6:30 pm QS for 8:30 shows is fine. We ate at Satul'i around that time for a 9:00 pm ROL and even had time to do a ride and go to a gift shop before the show.

6:30 pm Via Napoli would be fine for a 9:00 pm Illuminations. Honestly, I wouldn't even get a FP+ for Illuminations. Some of the best viewing spots are in the Italy pavilion, so I would just eat and find a spot in the near vicinity when you get out of the restaurant!

Thanks!!! I was wondering about that. Since we are leaving at 1pm for the resort I was thinking soarin or TT as a 4th FP if they were available.
