My DD10 and DD5 are both worried about how dark the rooms are going to be at night. We are staying at the AKL in July. Are there night lights in the rooms or she we bring one to plug in?
Thanks! :earsgirl:

There are no night lights in the rooms. Best to bring your own.

I always bring one or two with us....one for the bathroom area and one for main area.

We leave the light on in the bathroom with the door partially shut. That way if anyone has to use the facilities during the night they can see their way.

The hairdryers have an orange light to them, which stays on when the hairdryer is not in use.

I always bring night lights, whenever we travel.

The best room for that that we've been to is the Royal Pacifica at Universal. They had lights on dimmers in the vanity area so you could set them barely on. I really liked that - wish more hotels would do that!

You can get Disney night lights at the Dollar Tree! Last year I forgot ours and ended up using the glow in the dark ice cubes the kids had gotten.

I always bring a night light for the bathroom area, bring two if your kids like one in the sleeping area. They are cheap enough at the dollar store that if you forget to bring them home (we have) no big.

The last few trips I have been bringing a glade plug in nightlight for the bathroom. It makes a great night light and the room smells fresh and more like home.

Bring your own, and don't forget to take them with you when you leave. I wish I had a dollar for each one I've forgotten over the years!

I was really excited last month at ASMo to have a built in nightlight. It was part of the blow dryer. You could have it on or off. We were in a newly renovated room, so I don't know if this is something new or that they always had them.

The hairdryers at WL and YC had the built ins. YC has lamps with dimmer above the beds. Worked out great, we have DD7 who sleepwalks. DH found her asleep in the floor at foot of bed one night, she woke me up the next night asking if this was where the EPCOT pin trading station was :rotfl2: :rotfl2: I was able to look at her eyes and see that she was totally asleep, not playing with me :earseek: :earseek:

We always just leave the bathroom light on and the door cracked. Both of our kids 5 & 7 are used to night lights, this has always been fine with them.
