night before the wedding

This might be a silly question but where do the bride & groom typically stay the night before the wedding? They advise to check in the day before but I don't want to stay in the honeymoon room.

Please give me your thoughts.

My DH stayed in the honeymoon room, and I stayed with my parents in their room.

My parents are DVC members, so I am staying with them the night before the wedding in the Grand Villa they rented for the wedding week. My BM's will also be staying with me, and we'll be getting ready in the villa the morning of the wedding. My parents are also renting a 1 BR villa that my FH and my brother are staying in until the wedding. We haven't figured out where they guys are going to get ready yet. Worse comes to worse they will have to get ready in the smaller villa, but I'm sure they'll manage Then after the wedding, FH and I will move to our honeymoon suite!

We decided to forego the honeymoon room and Disney are just crediting our account one room night at the YC at rack rate. I just didn't fancy changing rooms. We are checking into the YC concierge water view room on the Monday and staying there until the Saturday our wedding is on the Thursday.

The night before we are both sleeping in the same room - I want to have a light breakkie with Paul together on the morning of our wedding before I kick him out of the room to get ready

Brian and I stayed together in our room at CS and then the morning of the wedding, we moved over to the YC and left all our stuff in our "honeymoon room" before we each ent off seperately to get ready.

We also stayed together in our hotel room the night before and parted bright and early the day of the wedding to get ready separately.

so, am I getting this right?
We can begin our honeymoon stay that comes with our intimate package the night before the wedding?
Or, we can get a room for an extra night in the same resort that we will be staying at for our honeymoon and stay in that same room for the entire stay?

My SM said that these were our options:

1) Book a 1 night room only reservation the night before and book the full 4 night wedding package in the honeymoon room starting the night of your ceremony.
2) Book the room only reservation for the night before and the room only reservation for the wedding package for 3 nights through the Disney Reservation Center. We would do an add-on package for your ceremony only at $2300. **The reason is that our full wedding package cannot be booked for less than 4 nights**

Just to avoid confusion we are having a Custom Wedding and as part of that, because we have have to book a minimum number of room nights, the bridal couple get a complimentary room for the night of the wedding.

We decided to forego the room and Disney very kindly are crediting our final account with a standard room rack rate night at The Yacht Club.
