Hello all! DH and I are taking our first cruise Sept 29, we know to plan on flying in on the 28th, and I have seen on the boards that many people stay at the MCO Hyatt, so I went on the sight today and saw that it was $249 for that one night. Are there discounts for this hotel or is this a typical price? I can get ASP for $129.

We added the transfers to our cruise, once we decide where we are staying do I just contact DCL or my TA and say transfer from airport or from a Disney resort hotel? Plus we are heading to AKL after the cruise, will the transfers take us there?

Thanks in advance everyone!!

We booked the Hyatt MCO through DCL. I don't recall how much it was, but I don't think it was that much. Sorry, I can't help more than that.

When you do your online check in you'll indicate that you are taking transfers to/from the ship and where from/to.

DCL transfers go to all WDW resorts.

Thanks for the speedy response!!! I managed to also find Comfort inn Airport for $76, don't know if that is a decent hotel...

At least I have time to decide

Was this price through DCL or was this the price on the Hyatt website? You should be able to get a room for around $200 through the Hyatt site.

I've always managed to find better deals than that for the Hyatt MCO. Try signing up for the Hyatt loyalty program. I think it's called the Gold Passport. One of my stays, the best price I could find was through the Hyatt site with a Gold Passport rate. Also look for specials on Travelocity, Expedia, Orbitz, etc. I get emailed deals from all those sites and every once in a while they send me a coupon code to use. I know one of my Hyatt stays was booked through the Travelocity mobile app because they sent me a coupon for $50 off if I booked through the app. Travelocity was offering the Hyatt for about $170/night and so I got it for $120 with the coupon.

I was through the Hyatt site, I checked expedia.ca (in Canada btw) and was still pretty pricey. I am tempted by the Comfort suites, as it will be 76 with tax, they have free airport shuttle, free full breakfast and they are rated very highly on expedia.ca.

If I can save a bit here, will really help towards my 12 day vaca.

Hyatt price changes periodically. I've been checking our dates every morning for the last 8 months. I've seen a few prices from $199-$361 for our March (spring break!) date. Book the Comfort Inn (I think it has an okay rating, but it's a dollar extra if you use the safe!) and watch the Hyatt prices. If you see one you like, book it and cancel the Comfort Inn. Don't wait to make a decision, because the Comfort Inn might go up. If it goes down, you can always change that reservation, too. Just don't book any "pay in advance" prices and you'll be fine.

SO true! I am going the reserve the Comfort Inn, it seems like a decent place to stay for a night.

I like the Embassy Suites near the airport. The included breakfast is huge (not a continental breakfast) and when we stayed there they had a courtesy shuttle that took us to dinner. My kids slept on the sofa bed in the living room.
