Hi everyone! I was wondering what this hotel is like, has anyone stayed there, is it fun? I was thinking of taking my 2 nieces, age 5 and 12 for a getting out of school for the summer weekend at the end of the month. The 5 year old is a Sponge Bob fanatic.

Not planning on taking them to any parks, just wanted to spend Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the resort...is there enough to do?

anyone?? is there enough to do just at the resort without going to parks??

yes my 9ds is dying to go back, for me it was just a sad dirty Holiday Inn, sometimes you saw some characters, the buffet was bad very loud and my son got sick...they closed the big water thing for maint. when we were there so we never even got wet... they gave me $10 bucks back when i complained...

We have been 2 times. We had a great time both trips. I found everything to be very pleasant and clean and helpful.
The buffet area can be loud and crazy, mostly because it is in the area called the mall area where people are always around. It has the food court and the kids stuff there as well.
We saw lots of characters. They were out in the mall area every day for maybe a 2 hour time rotating.
My kids this trip were 5 and 6 and 16 months. There is plenty to keep busy there for a few days. My kids asked while we were at Disney when we were leaving to go back to the hotel.
We are currently planning a return trip in March.
They do have a character breakfast, not sure on the price we did not go this time.
here are a few pictures in a slide show

We went over NYE. It was a last minute idea. We were stay at SS in Disney and wanted to stay in the area till Tuesday instead of driving home Sunday morning. There we no rooms using our Disney Vacation Points and we didn't want to stay in the All stars resorts. My DD had been asking to stay here for soooo long so we gave it a call. They had room and we drove right over. We stayed in a Sponge Bob room that had bunk beds. My DD is 7 she LOVED it my son 1 1/2 had fun. The room was big and had a living room, bed room with a king bed and the bunk bed room. All rooms had there own tv and a small kitchen. The beds were not good very lumpy. The water park was great. I loved how safe it was for the kids. You couldn't drag my daughter out of there. I thought it was clean the breakfast was good. I wouldn't go everyday for breakfast but once was nice. There is plenty to do. It a great hotel if your not going to any theme parks because it like it's ownwater park. There's mini golf, basketball and a pool table all around the pool. Plus there is a smaller area pool in another location if the big pool is to much noise. When we cam home all my DD told everyone about our trip was the Nick hotel and is dying to go back. Have a great time.

we went for 3nights this april, it was nice but not SPECTACULAR. although i have to admit my 8 yrd old did have a blast, he woudl be up every single day at 8-9 and want to stay out until 11pm, there is enough to do if its about a relaxing vacation. (lots of doing nothing just watching the kids play) but if you want to be up and about doing activities (every activity is extra) so be careful. the rooms are okay they are pretty small 2 bdrm suite was SUPER small i didnt like it, iw ould recommend NOT getting bunk beds, i dont know how the twin beds are but i think they would be more comfortable. the rooms are decorated nicely, the managment is nice and very attentive- would we go again? yeah maybe for one night not three though!

When you say everything is extra do you mean the shows and stuff cost extra?
