We were able to check into our room upon arrival at about 2:00. The day was overcast so we hesitated to go down to the pools. We were in building 2 near the Oasis pool, but facing the parking lot. (Quiet location people wise but there was alot of truck/bus noise from the parking lot.) So we upacked and then went exploring. After the kids saw the Lagoon pool we had no choice but to go back to the room and change into our bathing suits. We sisn't stay long since we had plans. We saw our first and only family show that night at 5pm, all the other times were booked. You have to be 8 and up to be picked as the participating families but they do choose kids and adults from the audience as well.

The next day was spent at the Lagoon pool, we took a break for lunch and then came back for slime time at 4:45. I didn't like the time of the sliming. I think they do it at that time so you eat dinner there rather than go out, because the shows start at 5pm and run until after 10pm.

Our last full day we decided to hit the little pool. During the week the Oasis pool doesn't open until 11am. At 11:30 there was some poolside games/sliming. I grabbed lunch at Subway in their "mall" and we ate poolside. At least at the pool they had a table designed to seat 4 people unlike the room that had a two seater.

I went back to the room to use the webTV to check-in for our flights for the next day. $.99 per 1/2 hour, so bring your laptop because the rooms have free internet if you bring your own. The family surprised me by showing up. The pool was closed when someone puked in it. It did reopen but we skipped it. Generally I didn't go in the pools after 2pm. When you start to think about all those kids in the pool and everything that goes along with that it makes me a little sick.

We left at checkout on our last day without using the pools. We paid $149.00 for a two bedroom kids suite for 2 nights and got the 3rd night free. I think 2 nights would've been plenty. Lots of walking and lots of $$. I told the kids it was a once in a lifetime trip.

I thought the room was OK. The bathroom floor felt...dirty to me. At one point they were powerwashing the balconies/walkways. We were in our room and water came in under the door, plus it was very loud. I felt bad if there were any families trying to nap.

If your kids really like Nick and really love to swim then a visit is reasonable. I would never recommend more than a 2-3 day stay.

We stay at Nick Hotel evey year and always have a great time. We stay for three days. We have never had a bad experience here. Our rooms and the bathrooms in them have always been neat and clean. My kids can't wait for the slime time this year. They think it is going to be so cool!! I am glad that they close down the pool for a period of time after a kid pukes in it. If they didn't people would complain that they didn't close it. Don't they put chemicals and chlorine in pools to kill germs and make them clean. Nick Hotel is probably not worth the money to some people, but as a single mom of four kids this is the only way I can take my kids to any kind of water park. My kids love it. We are going in June and I will report on our trip. I hope it is a good one as every year has been so far.

Yes, they sure do put chlorine in their pools. 8 hours of swimming over 3 days time was enough to completely fade one of the kids' bathing suits and ruin their hair. I could smell the chlorine on our skin for a couple of days after we got back, despite showering everyday.
