Nick Hotel $50/day food credit?

We are booked at the Nick at the end of April for 4 nights before we head to WH. We did get the deal w/ the 50.00/day food credit. For those of you that have already used this: if you don't use the 50.00 in a day because your at the parks, can you use it at the little store for food (maybe buy something to bring back to the room for breakfast the next day or a late night snack)? We are a family of 5, I'm sure it probably doesn't even cover us for a full day, right? We have been there before once, but did not have a food credit. We mostly ate at the "mall" fast food places except we did do the character breakfast. I know the ch. breakfast is not incl. We bought food at a store for our other breakfasts. Anyway, too much info!!

You can only use it for food, not in the store. WE got subs and put them in the fridge for the next day. We also used it for pizza, lots of pizza, and just rewarmed it in the room when we needed to. It was nice.

The last day we still had $50 left, so we did the regular breakfast buffet. THAT buffet is a huge disappointment, but not so bad if you're not paying for it.

they gave us 2 $25 vouchers. when you use the voucher you get no change back. They keep the voucher so basically you need to sepnd $25 at one stop.

Oh no! That stinks! Just thinking that if the total is like 30-35 and so you need to pay the difference OOP in order to hold on to the other 25 for another meal. Does that make sense?

This is why I wish they still had the Travelzoo deal still going on which was like 114.00 for a kids suite. I think we'd do better just paying for meals ourselves since we'll have a car.

I can't believe you can't use it at the store for food!

How much is the character breakfast? We'll be there one night in June with the $50 credit deal and have the breakfast booked the next morning. I forgot to ask when I made the reservation for the breakfast what the cost was.

we just got back. but i believe it was 20 dollars for adults and 10.99 for kids. Big buffet breakfast, not very good, but a lot of food.

That is what my email confirmation says as far as prices. We went in 4/07 and thought the character breakfast food was good--made to order omelets, etc. and we're pretty picky, so hopefully this was just an off day!

BTW, at that time, Spongebob did not walk around, but you could have your photo with him at the entrance. Also, they stamped the autograph books, which was fine w/ us. Alot of character interaction and they danced. It was really very cute and we enjoyed it, hope you do too!!

as another person said the day we were there he was posing for photos in one spot and stamping autographs. Also in attendence and circulating were squidward, angelica, dora, and aang from avatar. It was a lot of fun! They teased my son who is twelve bringing dora over to see him twice and kissing him over and over. very funny.

Does anyone know what the price of the regualr breakfast buffter is (the one without the characters) for adults and children. Is this held in the same area as the character buffet or is completely separate?

You could not use the vouchers for the small store if the character meal.
But you can buys sodas in bottles and stuff at one of the places if you need to just get the 25.
The characters are always out during certain times. We saw Spongebob, Patrick, Squidward, Dors Diego, Boots and little bill. They are in the mall area during certain times. You never know who will be there. But if you ask the first person that goes with them they can tell you who will be out later.
We never did the character meal since we saw no need with all kinds of ones out. But I believe it is like 29.95 and maybe 10 or so for kids.
The regular breakfast biffet is olay of you want to stay and eat and get going. Nothing great that I would want to pay for. We had the free credits and under 5 eat free so we had 2 free and the vouchers.
But they just added Pizza uno pizza to the Pizza hut and some other stuff at the grilled including yummy soft serve ice cream.
