Ya for NICHOLAS! Glad he made it home to his mama.

Sometimes I think cats know when their time is up.

A few years back we had a beautiful kitty but she was very sick at the end. She had always been an indoor/outdoor kitty and I was trying to keep her in because she had to go see the vet within an hour or so.

Well, she really wanted out so I went out with her. She was just lying in the grass enjoying the sun. I went back into the house to make some toast and was keeping an eye on her through the patio door. Well, when I turned around to fix my toast she disappeared!!! It was just a matter of 2 minutes or less. I immediately started looking for her and calling for her, but we never saw her again!!!

I feel very badly that she went away and died alone. But sometimes that is the way things work out. She must have wanted her privacy.

Glad to hear your good news. I had two kitties who just kind of "vanished". We believe that they were taken by a fishercat or other such predator. It is so sad not to know exactly... but we live out sort of in the woods, so I guess we need to get used to the idea. Oh, I'm glad he came home. Last week my indoor cat got out for a couple of nights, but made it home safely.

Poochie a fishercat is a weasel like creature that preys on small mammals.

Sometimes they are just called Fishers.

Cute, but not something you'd want in your backyard.
