booked a SW flight into LAX at the right time, wrong airport for easy transporation of four adults, one 3 year old and one 13 month old to get to Anaheim/Garden Grove area (yeah, realized burbank or ontario would have been FAR better AFTER I booked the SW tickets).....so started hunting down transportation options.
Super Shuttle - approx 100, plus tip
Taxi - approx 100, plus tip
Disneyland Express - read bad reviews, didn't like the idea of waiting nearly 45 minutes plus dealing wiht luggage, crying toddlers, but approximately 80ish for family pass. No car seats, no boosters, also was a detriment.
So, went to limo.com and asked for bids on transportation. Most quoted prices of $360 roundtrip. Two companies quoted approximately 100 bucks one way.....the first one was going to send a shuttle-type van.
However, American Limo quoted $95 plus gratuity to get to $114 or $228 RT for a limo..... For additional 20 bucks, they were willing to stop at a grocery store. Lonnie swore to me that it would be a nice car (just attended a convention in SF and my group flagged down a limo, turned out to be nasty inside)....anyway...service was great, free sodas and water in the limo, my group was THRILLED when it pulled up at baggage claim to pick us up and two car seats inside the limo sealed the deal. The pick up back to airport was just as efficient and pleasant. I highly recommend that they get added as an alternative -- not that much more than a taxi or the shuttle and you can relax in total style.
