Hi,

We are going to drive from Calgary to Vancouver this August with 3 kids (5 and 7 yrs old). Instead of driving straight through, I thought if there are a nice spot to camp or rest somewhere in the middle of the way, we would take our time and enjoy the trip instead of rushing through.

Can anyone recommend an inn, bed & breakfast, camp site, etc.?

Thanks.

Tam

PS. we are flying from Toronto to Calgary to visit the in-laws and then drive out to Vancouver to visit my family.

I don't know if this is helpful to you but as someone from the west coast I've done the drive straight through (approx. 12hrs) and also did the drive (reverse direction) and stopped at a provincial park campground just west of Revelstoke called Yard Creek. It was a nice stop over park if you're into camping.

I live in Kamloops,BC and Scotch Creek at Shuswap Lake would be nice. It is just west of Salmon Arm. You will need a reservation, though. It is about a four and a half hour drive from Vancouver. :cheer2:
