My 5 year old daughter is still at that age where she usually needs a short nap to recharge batteries for the rest of the day. On our AK day, we aren't planning to return to our hotel, so is there a nice quiet place we may be able to take her to nod off for an hour or so? She still barely fits in our stroller, so the plan is to have her snuggle down in the stroller some place.

Theres a place right across from the boneyard just as you go to head up to Dinosaur the ride that I always sit with my little boy and let him get a stroller nap. There are benches and its pretty quiet with trees and shade. Make sure you get yourself a nice iced lemonade at the stand there too while she naps ;)

I just noticed the kids in my photo below are actually sitting in the area Im talking about..lol

Right behind Chester and Hesters Dinosaur Treasures is a little clearing. It was once a DSA but isn't anymore. Its a bit off the beaten track. They still had a couple of benches there when we were there last month.

Isn't there a place between the Rainforest Cafe and the other entrance to Animal Kingdom? I think that has places to sit. It would mean exiting Animal Kingdom and then going back in once the child has woken up but it shouldn't be a problem and very few interruptions. If you don't need to stop, any one of the walking trails would be nice for the adults to have something to do while the child sleeps.

Most kids are going to fall asleep best when the stroller is moving. I suggest shopping and walking on the trails around the Tree of Life.

I agree with the DinoLand suggestions. There are a couple shaded areas that are tucked back and quiet near Dinosaur. My YDD (3.5) slept for an hour while I sat on a shaded bench next to the Triceratop ride and my older kids explored the area.

Our favorite place to take our daughter for a nap in AK was always at Upcountry Landing. Its a seating area right across from Flights of Wonder. Its in a pavilion and faces the water and there are glorious ceiling fans in there. It has never been busy anytime we have gone and has always been very quiet. I have even nodded off a few times in the rocking chairs!

Baby center - it's got AC, TV, and outlets if you need to charge your phone. For AK, that's just before the bridge to Africa on the left.
