Hi. We'll be spending that day in the Magic Kingdom and are considering leaving for lunch. Any recomendations? I'm leaning toward Grand Floridian just as an excuse to go in there--I've never been.

Thanks.

That is really the only resturant that offers lunch unless you go to their mini food court area.

If it was me - I would go to Kona Cafe for lunch - the food is different there then on the rest of property and you'll get sick of burgers and sandwiches after awhile.

I second the GFC. It is a brightly & elegantly decorated restaurant located on the first floor. There are lovely views of the pool and courtyard areas of the resort. The food has always been great along with the service. If you are looking for something different (or the excuse to go here) and relaxing this is a good choice. :goodvibes

The Kona Cafe is not a bad choice either. The atmosphere is louder with darker colored decor. Food and service are also great.

I also recommend the Grand Floridian Cafe - it has a very relaxing atmosphere and a diverse menu. We did not need an ADR when we had lunch there either.

Personally I would go to Kona at the Poly then maybe go over to the GF to look around. I'm not a big fan of GFC and that's the only TS that has lunch. Last year we ate there the service was slow and the food wasn't great.

We have only eaten Breakfast & dinner at GFC & loved both of those. It is a nice quiet place. We have always had good food & good service. I thought it was one of the more chilly places we ate at. Kona is quite good too, not as relaxing to me.

Thank you for the replies. I'm thinking GFC. Sounds like a nice break.

We love the food here as well, and it's been pretty consistent for us. They have a good Cobb (though I love BD more!) and good French onion soup. :)

We are going to the Grand Floridian tea for our lunch, the earliest time was 2pm so we will have a big breakfast that morning
