We've always stayed at the Fort for our Disney trips, but on June 27, we're heading down for just the weekend. We have reservations at the Contemporary for Saturday and Sunday night.

This has probably been asked before (I apologize) but we are coming down that Friday and hope to arrive in Orlando by 9:00pm or so. I just can't justify dropping another $400 for an extra night at the Contemporary when we won't even get there until bedtime. So is there a recommended hotel nearby so we can just sleep "safe and clean" and then hit the parks when the gate opens? We'll just check into the Contemporary during the middle of the day that Saturday.

Thanks:thumbsup2

what price did you have in mind?

also would go early that morning to check in - so you will get one of the first rooms available - if they have one when you check in you get it!:thumbsup2

leave the family sleeping and go check in.

Are you flying or driving? I highly recommend the Hyatt inside MCO if flying.
Will you be renting a car? We used the Sheraton Safari for a 1 nighter. It was a little worn but ok for 1 nt. and very close to DTD.

Thanks for the responses but we went ahead and got a room at the All-Star Movies for just one night. That way, we can arrive late Friday (we're driving from NC), get checked in and use Disney transportation and possibly do extra magic hours Saturday morning. Then around midday Saturday, we'll head to the Contemporary.
