nice beach?

We are looking for a nice beach to spend 4 or 5 nights. We are looking for a relaxing beach vacation. We like the resort type atmosphere. We were considering Cocoa beach or Vero. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Depending on when you go, a good rule is to go South if it's cold. You should consider the Gulf Coast beaches, too. They are also nice. There is a bigger hotel selection there than Cocoa Beach, where I didn't remember seeing a lot of hotels on the beach. It seemed like they were all condos.

Gulf Coast is much prettier, sugar white sand and clear water. We love the Don Cesar at St. Pete Beach !

My mother swears by Cocoa beach, but everytime I go I am very dissappointed. I have stayed by the beach in a hotel, but can't remember the name. It wasn't a flea bag, but wasn't worth the $80(with AAA discount).
