Niagara Falls

We had an awesome trip to Niagara Falls last summer, and found a great hotel: Ramada Fallsview -- it's in the Minolta Konika Tower, and people still pay to take pictures of the falls from their observation decks. The only problem is they only have 1 bed per room (King size, so my little gymnast slept between us) but they had fridge, microwave and coffee maker in every room, and breakfast was included. Great service, too -- now one of our favourite hotels in the country!

Check out the website for the Niagara Parks Commission. There's also the Bird Aviary and the Butterfly conservatory. Both great attractions. There are 3 indoor waterparks based at hotels. Clifton Hill is fun in a touristy way.

Beware the chain restaurants in the tourist areas. Their prices are definitely higher than you are used to. We're locals, and have walked out of more places than we've sat at in the tourist district.

We're going to the local Maple Sugar Bush and the Butterfly conservatory. We'll also hit the Boston Pizza on Clifton and their huge indoor arcade.
