I'm so glad you told me to do this, turns out we need Canadian I'd cards.Just make sure your car insurance covers you in Canada.
Got them. We should be all set.I'm so glad you told me to do this, turns out we need Canadian I'd cards.
The Embassy is a great hotel and a good location. That is a heck of a drive are you splitting it up or doing it all in one day?Jumping back on. We are leaving July 15th. We will take the train to Chicago and rent a car to drive the rest of the way. Spending four nights in Niagara, Canada at the Embassy Suites.
Hmm, guess I should call about that. Never even thought of it.Just make sure your car insurance covers you in Canada.
Just the typical large hotel in a tourist area annoyances. If you want to not stand in line for breakfast get there early, same thing about the free drink happy hour. It is a large hotel, there will be a lot of people there so the elevators might be busy at times. Niagara Falls area is expensive. Pick up some water, snacks and drinks when you are in Sarnia. Overall though it is a nice hotel and great location.Have you ever stayed at Embassy? They have gotten mixed reviews. We are staying in Sarnia on the way to Niagara, but plan on driving all the way back to Chicago in one day on our ride back. It says 9 hours, should I expect way longer?
Call your cell provider or check on line. When we go to the states, we can buy a us coverage package for a month or a couple days. How about a cell phone question. I have an iPhone 5s with at and t.. What do those coming from the US do about their phone?
Does your credit card have coverage? If not you will not be covered. We leave saturday. My last question is I did not buy trip insurance. Will we be covered if there is a medical emergency?
I have health insurance in the US through blue cross. Maybe I should call them to make sure we are covered in Canada.Does your credit card have coverage? If not you will not be covered.
That's on my list of to-dos...to find out how much coverage costs. How about a cell phone question. I have an iPhone 5s with at and t.. What do those coming from the US do about their phone?

That's what I'm thinking too. I'm also hoping that being busy will reduce the likelihood that DS15 will be using data.So glad this was brought up, or I never would have thought to check. I have a 5s with U.S. Cellular and they told me the phone model will work, but the costs are outrageous!

$1 per MEGAbyte of data
They offer a one-month Canada add-on for $35 but that only gets you 125 Megabytes of data. (for comparison, our family of five has a 17 GIGAbyte plan) I guess we will purchase the $35 add-on, put our phones on airplane mode and use wifi as much as possible.
