Is anybody on these boards attending the two games this weekend at the o2 Arena between the Anaheim Mighty Ducks and the LA Kings. Am so looking forward to it. That's one thing Orlando lacks and thats an NHL team. The nearest one is 1.5 hours drive.
I'm not going but I hope you have a great time and I have to take this opportunity as a Dolphins fan to look grumpy and blow a raspberry at you....*rasp*
Just hope we beat the Giants in exactly one month's time so my live game experience will be a successful one!
I'd love to go to the hockey game...if I wasn't preggers I would definitely go!
I was lucky enough to be born in Edmonton and grew up during the Oilers 'golden era' and got to see and experience the best team ever, with Wayne Gretzky, Jari Kurri, Mark Messier, Paul Coffey and Grant Fuhr...just the best!
It's so much better when you're there too, you're going to love it, have a fabulous time!!
It was brilliant. Much more hard hitting than the UK game. The O2 Arena is huge with lots of restaurants around the outside. I really liked it but it was a nightmare to get to. Windsor to Waterloo (the slowest train in the world - 55 minutes). Then we got on the O2 Express from Waterloo Pier just below the London Eye directly to the arena.
I do the PR for a local Ice Hockey, semi-pro team in Slough and I love it. Ice Hockey is so much fun. There were 16,500 people there on Sat and I couldn't have cared less who won, just as long as there was a fair few goals, which there was. Am now hoping that Tampa Bay get through to the play-offs in the NHL as I'll be in Orlando for the first 2 weeks of the play-offs!!
I am so jealous, I would have loved to have gone. I love watching ice hockey, and go to watch my local team in Altrincham every week
I have been to a couple of NHL games in the US, and had a fantastic time
