Thatās pretty incredible !!
Thatās pretty incredible !!
Congrats at all that but why arenāt Winnipeg fans packing the arena? I think yesterday may have been the first sellout of the season. I noticed that the attendance at many Jets games was 2000 or so short of capacity. In the NHLās smallest ānormalā arena. Is something unusual going on?
Itās mostly ticket prices, but in house experience played a part in it too. I think a lot of fans were/are feeling like the ownership group takes the fans for granted. They have done things to address that, but it will take a while to show how well the changes go over.Congrats at all that but why arenāt Winnipeg fans packing the arena? We are a big city but have a small town mentality. Things are also very expensive here. I always laugh at Americans complaining about gas and grocery prices. Doing a rough conversion (very rough), gas in my city is currently ~$6 per gallon. In my local grocery store (nationwide chain) four pieces of boneless, skinless chicken is $27. I can show you the flyer if you need proof lol. Hockey tickets are WAY down the list of priorities.
I hope Laine gets healthy and goes on a tear for you. There was a small part of me that wanted us to resign him, but understood why itās a risk.Wow @prairie_girl , I just looked up your gas, itās 40c A LITER. Cheaper. Ugh
I wish our fans would stand up for something. I know we are in a rebuilding phase, but we have gone from bad to worse. Still, the place is packed.![]()
Thatās insane! Would never pay that!Superstore
This is called Free From, but itās actually the law that chicken canāt contain those things. Theyāre just buzzwords to make people feel safer

That is a lot cheaper! Iāll have to give them a look. ThanksFresco/Cantors $12 for 4 breasts. Had a pack of 10 thighs for $9 tonight.
Thanks. I had a feeling that the ownership may have alienated the fans somehow. Last year the Jets had a great record too yet attendance was a bit soft.Itās mostly ticket prices, but in house experience played a part in it too. I saw this and thought the gas price seemed off. Please tell me if my numbers are off. According to Natural Resources Canada, the average price per liter in Winnipeg is $1.23. Extrapolated out, that's $4.64/gallon. Doing the conversion, that would be $3.27/gallon US. Putting it 19 cents above the average US price per gallon, which is the exact amount of the Federal Fuel Charge. Average gas price in California is $4.29/gallon which would work out to CAD 1.61/L.We are a big city but have a small town mentality. Things are also very expensive here. In hockey news, Kaprizov has been lights out for the Wild, whom are only chasing the Jets in the division and in all of the NHL.
The only reason it caught my eye was because my day job deals a lot with fuel prices. My industry includes many representatives from Canada, I hear quite a bit about the exchange rate and how bad it is. I can only imagine how it's hitting industries like hockey that have to pay in USD, but all revenue is in CAD.Youāre correct. I converted one of the numbers the wrong way.
Now weāre getting into why the Jets left the first time. It wasnāt the only reason, but it was one of them. The only reason it caught my eye was because my day job deals a lot with fuel prices.
