Nexus question?

Perhaps someone knows...

We have Nexus and were told a few weeks ago when re entering Canada at the toll that Nexus card holders didn't have to pay the toll coming back into Canada? We didn't have our cards with us that day. Sooo we kibbitzed with the attendant and I told him I want my $3.25 back for the last 4 years! LOL....Anyways....yesterday-we went stateside again and asked when we re entered about it again. This attendant said no...and looked at us as if we were crazy! I am thinking the last trip the fellow meant 'express' pass?

Anyone have any experience with this? I looked in my Nexus info book but it's been 4 years so they may have been updated by now.

You pay 50 cents less if you use the Express Pass to pay the toll, but free, no. You need to load your Nexus card with prepaid toll money then when you roll up to the toll booth you swipe one card at the white box right next to the window. The light will indicate Green for go, yellow for low funds on the card and red for not enough funds to pay the toll. You can ask for a receipt that shows how much remaining on your card if you go to a booth with an attendant.

Okay, so you need an express pass? You can't load your Nexus card with money right? That wouldn't make sense?
