Nextel Phones

Has anyone used these yet at the parks? Have you used them as phones or the walkie-talkie feature (Direct Connect). We are all (8 of us) are changing over to Nextel this year and were planning on using them for the parks, so I figured I'd come to the experts to see if anyone has used them yet. TIA

I used mine on our last trip (both the phone and direct connect) without a problem. Just remember to put it on vibrate while in the shows.

We have Nextel and have used our phones for at least 2 trips now.

We mostly used them as phones but my DH says we used them as walkie talkies too. I just don't remember that for some reason.

They worked great though at WDW! We never really hit a dead area except maybe ON A RIDE! I couldn't imagine not having them at WDW.

We have switched to other phone companies twice now but (cause they were cheaper or whatever reason) we switched back because Nextel was the only one that would work in rural, dead areas...which our own home is in, and DH's work, in Boston, well, his buidling anyway.

We LOVE Nextel. You'll love them too once you try them out!
