We're headed over to DL on Sunday, staying until Wednesday. We've never been to DL during March or spring break, so I'm wondering what to expect for crowds and wait times. We've been to DL on Memorial Day weekend (the day the new Fantasmic and summer fireworks premiered), 4th of July weekend, a weekend during October's Halloween time, and a weekend in early December. Will crowds be comparable to those times? Lighter? Heavier? Thanks! :)

I don't have the answer for you as I've never been to DL - ever :)!!!

My question for you is you stated you were there over numerous holiday weekends. How bad was that, really??? We are going Easter weekend & I'm very nervous now. My girls are 12, 9 & 7 so I think they can tolerate crowds & lines well..better than me! HA!

Is it crowded?? Sure it's always crowded, right??

Oddly, I checked various hotels, GAT for the weekend/weeks we could go and found it very easy to get a room during Easter at my top 10 hotels choices (yet, not late March to early April?) Make sense??

Is the website isitpacked.com reliable???

Hmmm...good luck! Have fun!!!!!!!!!

We thought the crowds were tolerable during the times I mentioned. That said, we always make rope drop and go in with a plan. We also skip a few big headliners since we've got a small child. Same for fireworks and night shows. Honestly, the least crowded I've ever seen DL was the morning of the 4th of July. I have pictures of Main Street with NO ONE IN THEM! We skipped the fireworks that night, knowing it would be gridlock, and watched from our hotel balcony instead. The busiest day we attended was probably the "summer opening" Friday we went over Memorial Day weekend. LA schools got out early that day, and it got busy fast. But with a plan, we still got a ton in.

I've never heard of the website you mentioned, so no advice. Sorry!

Anyone have any experience to share?

Well... it's the beginning of the Spring Break period. You have the lowest level AP blocked out 3 of the 7 days. To me this is an indication that Disney is expecting it to busier than usual, but not so busy that they feel the need to block out said AP holders for the entire 7 days. I would expect busy, very busy on the weekend.

But none of this really matters. You are going to Disneyland. Plan around the crowds and enjoy your visit!

Exactly why we're going early in the week instead of the weekend! Our two full park days are Monday and Tuesday, which I think will help. When I was checking hotel rates, a lot of them were booked up or had spiked prices starting Thursday, but I found good rates (and decent availability) the days we're going.

We've gone the last 2 years during spring break and both years we've gone on a monday and tuesday. It is crowded. You definitely want to be in "big crowd mode" as far as how you tour the parks, lol. My best advice is to make sure you are there at the parks before they open so you can take advantage of the first hour or two before everyone else shows up. Also try to eat your meals early (11ish for lunch and maybe 5ish for dinner). We'll be heading back this spring break too but won't be there until the end of April since that's when my nephews' spring break is.
