I see it will be very hot in the 90's :scared1: & Of course PACKED. I have no form of Universal Express ticket. My mom doesn't want to pay that kind of money. :sad1: Weather says for Tuesday the day I'll be at Islands Of Adventure says Scattered T-Storms. That has me worried. Will any rides be closed? I love all the rides there especially all the water rides. & I can't get there at 8am opening. I will be getting there around 10. I know about the single rider lines which will be a huge help. Help me decide should I go to Hulk first for my first coaster/ride of the year or head to Dudley first? I thought about getting wet first since it will be so hot. & Will the single rider lines for Hulk & Dudley be open by the time I get there at 10?

Rides won't generally close unless there is lightning within five miles of the park. They won't close just because it's raining. I would do Hulk first and then work around the park. I wouldn't do the water rides until later as the single rider lines probably won't be open in the morning. Normally there has to be a stand by wait of at least an hour before the single lines are opened. Ride the attractions that do not involve water like the coasters and then head to the water rides.

They will not close the outside roller coasters unless the lightning or thunder is with 5 miles of the park.

Right now we have a tropical storm, and it was pouring raining outside. When I went to the park yesterday every roller coaster was running. I will say that riding RipRideRock it was extra terrifying.

That's a great tip to save the water rides for later after hours of walking around I'll be sure to be boiling hot & a nice soaking water ride will feel so good. :thumbsup2 & Can someone confirm 100% that there are indeed single rider lines for Popeye, Jurassic Park, & Dragon Challenge(Dueling Dragons)?(I read on here someone said they did have them but weren't completely sure) & How efficient are all single rider lines at IOA -do you get right on in like 15 min so it's like the Express line? I am really hoping they will be quick because I will be without an Express Pass. :sad1: & If I'm not sure where the single rider line is I just say I'm a single rider to the attendant & they will point to where it is?

Single ride lines can cut down on a long wait but remember...singles are just filling the empty seats. You could end up spending longer in the single line than the regular line depending on the wait time. There is no guarantee how long it will take for you to ride in the single line. Of the "older" attractions, Hulk and Spiderman can have the longest single line waits...my personal experience.

Jurassic Park River Adventure has a single line when wait times are over 60 minutes for the regular line. I don't believe there is a single line for Popeye and unless something changed, there is no single line for Dragon Challenge.

Once the single line opens, there are signs posted out front to direct you.
