Just a FYI, the manager at Michaels said that they are getting an "exclusive" Cricut, just for Michaels corp. I asked if it was the big one (expressions?maybe?), and she said yes, but it is going to be an exclusive Michaels color?

If it's pink, I'm just gonna die. A pink Cricut? Where's that cloud 9 smilie . . .

My sister bought me the Animal Kingodm one!!! There was quite a few people there when they opened. Michaels actually let us in early. It was a zoo. I knew where the one I wanted so I was able to just grab it without looking.

I resisted the urge even though I really wanted one. I decided to spend the money on my CM business. My LSS has one that you can use and she said that Micheal's may lose their license to sell them because of going below the MAP price (the lowest amount a store can sell them for). She also said that the cartidges are going to fit both machines.

I noticed this afternoon when I was in Joanns that they had the same cartridges listed on sale at Michaels for the same $39.99 though they were picked clean.

I sure hope the cartridges fit both machines. It would just be horrible to spend all this money and they don't fit. I personally will be mad if this is not the case and I'll be writing a letter to cricut.

That said I did buy the Animal Kingdom one. The one I really wanted DoodleCharms wasn't on sale. Oh well, next time..

I asked at our local Michaels store if the cartridges are on sale because they aren't going to be selling them anymore. I was told they won't be selling the current cricut machine because they will be selling the new larger model. She had been told the cartridges would fit the new machine. Also, she didn't think they would be discontinuing the current cartridges because they were giving rain checks for them today! They were out of just about everything on sale by the time I got there this afternoon. It sounded like they were out of the current machine and wouldn't be getting anymore in. I thought they just hadn't gotten more in after their big sale.

We picked up Christmas and Animal Kingdom. Wont be using them for two weeks though as I will be out of town for a while!
