Next trip planned...MDE question

We are booked at BWV with our son in June. Magic bands ordered, dining set, PAP vouchers linked. Now we have also booked a trip, just DH and I, in October at BLT to visit my daughter who will be in the CP. My question is, given how MDE is sometimes glitchy, should I wait until after our first trip to link our second trip? We aren't planning any TS meals for that trip and we will be 4 months out when we return in from trip #1 so plenty of time to book FPs. You hear so many stories about MDE being temperamental I don't want to confuse it with trip #2! Daisyx3

Agree with you on the glitches. That said, I don't think this would plausibly cause a problem. And if it works correctly, you may not need to personally link it to MDE at all.

My experience is that I have had to manually link all my trips to MDE through this June as well. But my October trip just showed up there by itself last month. So don't be too surprised if this happens.

If it doesn't, there really isn't a reason to link it manually before 60 days out anyway. After all, if you change your mind about making an ADR, you don't have to be staying on property to have those.

Having the MDE system "see" your upcoming trip really only matters for MB and FP+. So there's no rush for the fall vacation.

We have several trips linked in our MDEx account and have had no issues.

All of our trips automatically show up on DME. So far, no problems.

The only thing I've noticed is we have to customize a separate set of Magic Bands for each trip even though we have PAP's. But I think that's normal from what I've read, Disney hasn't found a way to allow guest to utilize one set of bands for multiple rips.

The funny (sad?) thing is that the bands all DO work for multiple trips. Every band from every trip we have taken is still active and interchangeable. And yet they still send more...
