Next DVC resort?

For now…
We’ll see what happens with the refurbishment, but so far every property that has had a full refurb starting with Saratoga has gotten rid of the table and chairs. Not counting VGC since not much of anything was done there.
I must go before they take the table away is my excuse now 🤣🤣

Good point. In terms of laptop space, I think it's more of a mix. Beach Club still has the (I'm not sure what to call them) side tables (which are fine for a laptop), post refurb. Big Pine (just new, not refurb) has those round tables that work fine. The refurbished BLT studios have the counter seating by the TV which works fine. And Poly, even with the coming refurb, have so much space that I can't see them ditching the table all together. But other studios really don't have an easily useable workspace anymore.

Beach club and Polly were soft refurbs so the tables weren’t touched. I’m hoping that the poly doesn’t lose the table either in the longhouses.

BPK doesn’t have the same kind of table. That table would be OK to work from but the make up table would be great to work from however, there is no real chair with the back.

Wow I never even thought to look at value studios points, but 7 points during september, are these the cheapest dvc rooms?? All of a sudden I feel rich (in points) lol.

I don't think that there is a chance in hell it will happen, but I would love to extend the starcruiser with another tower and form a star wars hotel. The rooms would be based on what we saw in Andor s1&2, with wings for a cityscape, rebel and imperial zones. It could be a mixed development, with hotel suite, and multi-room dvc options. I would make the grand villa options themed for Princess Leia (rebel), Senator accommodation (neutral/city), and emperor (imperial). The latter would have the Emperor's throne and round window.

Having the 4 different themes would make it more interesting for repeated stays.

that's fine with me, as long as I don't have to perform and dress up for days at a time...

I really do think a themed hotel would make a lot of money, what people don't want to do though is be trapped in their hotels for 2 to 3 days to feel like they're getting their money's worth and not be able to go to the parks.

The actors were great but it's a little too much IMO and definitely drove up the price of Starcruiser, people generally want a more passive experience where they can come and go as they please like if during random times in the day there were attacks from Stormtroopers in the lobby and then a show ends after like 10 minutes and then people can go about their day. People WILL pay extra money for a very well themed hotel. They should/can make it exclusive to resort guests so you don't have random people showing up just to take pictures. Get rid of all the story stuff that they had on people's phones and choosing your own path and missions and etc. It's just too much for the average Disney fan who isn't a super fan of these franchises and at the end of the day if the average Disney fan isn't considering staying at these hotels then the hotel won't succeed.

Sadly I think the takeaway Disney is going to get from Starcruiser is that franchise themed hotels don't work which is untrue. As a result it'll probably be awhile before we see anything that themed again.

I think BC might have a portion converted to DVC - BCV studios always go quickly - I am willing to bet that in 2042 - they take a portion of BC and convert it to DVC - think connecting studios. I dont see them taking the YC as the convention center there does quite well and when they have conventions it is impossible to get a room there and as a convention attendee one year - they ran out of rooms both there. Maybe they build an addition like a YC tower in the parking lot?

As you wrote, they probably won't expand BCV before 2042 (too few years in existing association and probably too small for a new one). So YC (either with a new building or reallocation of existing rooms) would be a better option for a new DVC property at Crescent lake before 2042.
