Like most everyone here we get asked a lot of questions about Disneyworld when we are at social functions. My wife is a former cast member so people love to talk Disney with her. The one that we have the hardest time trying to explain is how we get seated at T-Rex or Yak & Yeti ASAP with no reservations. People just don't seem to understand that there are a few restaurants on property that aren't owned by Disney or that Disney would allow people to get priority over those with reservations. Several on property restaurants are owned by Landry's and these restaurants are a part of the Landry's Select Club. The LSC grants members the next available table even WITHOUT reservations.
T-Rex in Disney Springs, Rain Forrest Café in Disney Springs, Yak & Yeti in Animal Kingdom, and Rain Forrest Café at the entrance to Animal Kingdom all participate in the Landry's Select Club rewards programs. This means that once you are a member of the LSC you can walk right up to these locations with NO reservations and get seated immediately.
This is not hack or a gimmick or tied to a timeshare promotion. It really is as simple as joining a club. There is a one time $25 charge, but you get a $25 credit on your next visit. So if you go to a Landry's owned restaurant more than once the net is zero.
I decided to add a video about how to sign up and our experience using the LSC card on our family YouTube. Now I can just send it out to folks when it comes up for discussion at the next social event.
