Like most everyone here we get asked a lot of questions about Disneyworld when we are at social functions. My wife is a former cast member so people love to talk Disney with her. The one that we have the hardest time trying to explain is how we get seated at T-Rex or Yak & Yeti ASAP with no reservations. People just don't seem to understand that there are a few restaurants on property that aren't owned by Disney or that Disney would allow people to get priority over those with reservations. Several on property restaurants are owned by Landry's and these restaurants are a part of the Landry's Select Club. The LSC grants members the next available table even WITHOUT reservations.

T-Rex in Disney Springs, Rain Forrest Café in Disney Springs, Yak & Yeti in Animal Kingdom, and Rain Forrest Café at the entrance to Animal Kingdom all participate in the Landry's Select Club rewards programs. This means that once you are a member of the LSC you can walk right up to these locations with NO reservations and get seated immediately.

This is not hack or a gimmick or tied to a timeshare promotion. It really is as simple as joining a club. There is a one time $25 charge, but you get a $25 credit on your next visit. So if you go to a Landry's owned restaurant more than once the net is zero.

I decided to add a video about how to sign up and our experience using the LSC card on our family YouTube. Now I can just send it out to folks when it comes up for discussion at the next social event.

Lol.

Not quite. In my experience you end up in a line behind all the other landrys members.

At trex they called us fairly quickly. To join the line waiting for the seating host, and that line took quite awhile.

Only rarely was it ever anywhere near immediately. Because there are a lot of members out there.

I guess it depends on timing, but that wasn't our experience even during Spring Break this year. If there isn't a table available then you have to wait or if there are other LSC members ahead of you then there would be a wait. In April at peak dinner time at T-rex the kids didn't have enough time to make it to the play area before we were being seated and the stand by wait was over an hour.

LSC with near-immediate seating at Landry's restaurants (RFC, TREX, Y&Y) is a pretty well-known benefit here on the Disboards...as are the birthday and sign-up bonuses.

Yes, agreed. Whenever TRex, Rainforest or Y&Y come up, there are many people on here who share the tip.

We know some other DS, Swan/Dolphin reservation tips too . . .

Landry's Select Club is the bomb.

FYI, if you go to Yak & Yeti, order the Dragon Roll appetizer. Everyone at the table will be blown away by its deliciousness.

As others have said, this is not new info here on the DIS. It is well known

Yep, we did this years ago, but 'not' for Rainforest or T-Rex (don't like those). We use it for the McCormick-Schmicks seafood restaurant that is in our area (part of Landrys).

The $25 annual b'day gift is great! The next 'available' table service is nice (especially for those wanting to eat at Disney). We don't go to those there anymore, but even though you had a short wait at times, it was well worth it then.

After reading some of the replies, sounds like the wait could be longer there now, but wasn't when we went several years ago.
