Next April in Hilton Head?

Just curious...
My DH & I are considering taking the girls to HH next Easter break, but have never been & don't know of anyone personally who has...

What is the weather like?
Can you sugest a room location?
How far away is the beach? pool?
What kinds of activities do they have there?
Is this something we should consider reseving now or can we wait a few months to decide?

I would make my ressies asap. HH usually fills up around Easter because the points per night is a bargain compared to WDW and it is a great resort. I would recommend a marsh view, top floor. The resort is not real big so the pool or lodge is usually a short walk.

The beach house is about a mile away so you can take the shuttle, bike or drive there. Weather can be anywhere from the 80's to 60's but will probably be in the high 70's. The ocean will be a little chili but the pools are heated.

There are lots of activities for all including crafts, games, scavenger hunts, nature activities, dolphin viewing (must do), bicycling, swimming, relaxing, campfire ect.. The CMs compare to the best that WDW has to offer.

Our family loves the resort. Have fun.

Wow...I'm glad we bought our add on at HH to get the 11 month window since we are trying to go at that time next year, too!

We just made our first trip to HH and loved it. The children are already asking when our next trip will be. I think you will enjoy it, but make ressies asap...sounds like everybody wants to go at the same time.

I'm taking the family to Hilton Head for the first time May 21-28, 2005.

I have been watching the Hilton Head weather all of this entire month, April of 2005.

I don't know what it will be like in April 2006...but this year, during the first two weeks of April daytime highs were in the mid to upper 60's, with a couple of days in the upper 50's.

The second half of April has been much warmer. Most days the temps have been in the 70's. Later this week, it looks like Hilton Head will see 80.

This is very encouraging to see. We stopped by HH in 2003 on our way from our cruise and we were very impressed by the relaxing quality of the resort (I was more impressed by the relaxing quality, I think dh was impressed with the amount of golf course ) so we decided to go next year during my dd's spring break as well.

I'm actually very excited to go - once our trip in December is over we can really full force plan.
