Portillo's reportedly to open next Orlando location on International Drive

"Meanwhile, Portillo's is slated to open its first Orlando restaurant near Walt Disney World sometime this year."

As a fan of Portillo's, it's great to see them doing well enough to expand to yet another location around the country, and I wish them success in Orlando, but at the same time, there's still part of me that (irrationally) misses when it was a only a "local thing."

Completely missed it. Oh well...I wonder if the dates between the 5th and the 9th will be soft opening.

edit - Just realized these dates are in MAY over a month away from the opening. If they aren’t doing a month of soft openings, why not do more preview days? Leaving it closed for a month between seems strange.

Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake Price Increase

Not surprising - Disney is always raising prices. However, it won't matter to us because this is the best chocolate cake we have ever eaten!!!

I’ve never had it!!! But, this year will be the first time I will be in Disney for my birthday, so maybe I could throw a hint or two!

“Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance Boarding Groups will open for Disneyland at 7am and at 12pm. For the 7am distribution time, guests must have a theme park reservation for Disneyland Park. Guests who start their day at Disney California Adventure will not be eligible for the 7am distribution time, regardless of Park Hopper status.”

I hope not until at least FP is back! (If it comes back.) With the virtual queue, we were able to walk on the ride both times during our November/December trip once our group was called. I can’t imagine what wait times would be like without some sort of system in place!

So many BGs are being called each day now that I think the issue now is demand more than how the attraction is functioning, although it still goes down at times. Standby lines would probably still be hours long without BGs.

I looked at my email around 2:20 pm today. Saw an email from UOAP had come in at 1:10 pm. Clicked on the link and it said all spots were full.
