The extra $600 is not coming from companies. Its coming from the average american. Unless you are in your 60s, you and I will be paying for it. The uninsurance the companies pay into is that 50% pool.
I am in my 50's and I don't expect my company to pay me EVER if I am not working other than vacation and Holidays. IF I get furloughed, that is why I have paid unemployment taxes since I was young. And I am grateful that I haven't ever had to use it and I owe that to that very same company who kept me employed for 36 years.

im going to be off every other week because of the virus for who knows how long. Right now I’m making more money a week on unemployment 1313 dollars than I do working 40 hours. Do I think it’s right no but I will gladly take it.
you can’t expect to have Disney to keep paying their workers. When they can make more on unemployment. Florida sucks in unemployment but that 600 will be really nice for them.
Yet another lawsuit, woman claims head injury on Frozen Ever After:

IMHO, if you've recently had brain surgery, it is on you to know what a ride is before you get on it. I also don't think it is possible for any adult to hit their head on the seat back on FEA. There is a difference in a CM saying something is gentle for the general public and gentle for someone with a recent brain surgery.
They prob had a gas leak before the closure but with the kitchens running 15 to 20 hours a day, it prob wasnt a issue large enough to warrant repair or it was in a oven and just burned itself off anyway daily. But with the parks being closed it finally reached a point it would need to be repaired
Isn't it weird that you have to pay taxes on un-emp (b/c it's considered income), yet an insurance payout (like medical, house, car, life) isn't taxed? Why is it called unemployment insurance then?
