Hi, today I've made a reservation for december, so I will have the chance to make my next september 2007 reservation with free dinnig plan. For those who can't go on november or december I asked if they will offer the plan as last year. The man who made my reservation at Disney phone number told me to be attentive because he was told it will be offered on april or may as last year. I hope you can understand my english........VERO.

Your English is great!!! Thanks for taking the time to post. Several people have reported being told the plan would be offered to the general public and the April date keeps coming up...so I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Yeah, your English is just fine! I doubt my next door neighbor could write any better. lol

Thanks for sharing this information. I'll keep my fingers crossed! :)

hmmm... the CM I spoke with when booking my "Future Stay" said its highly unlikely that there will be free dinning availible to the gen. public next year.

I think nobody nows for sure, it really depends how many people book onsite (and don't cancel). Once they see occupancy levels, they decide what additional promotions and when to offer them.

If we have a trip booked and free dinning does open to the general public do you have to cancel your trip and rebook, or can you just add the free dinning to your package?? :confused3

Does the person that books for the future stay have to be the person that is going? Let me say this a different way. Can my mom who is going in Dec. book for next Sept for my family even though she is not going?

I don't believe so, no. The reservation is not able to be modified into a different person's name. So if your mom makes a reservation, SHE needs to be the one to check in since she'd be the primary traveler.

Hope that makes sense...

Is there a code for December this year?

There was but it has expired. you cannot book it anymore.

Not to say that this isn't true, but it sounds like a hard sell to me. Put your money down now because it won't be offered again kind of thing.

When I called last week to ck something on my reservation for Sept 07 the CM told me that chances were good because without free Dining the parks are VERY slow. She seemed positive about it.

Also, as great as it is for those who are there in Nov./Dec. Not all those people can afford to go to Disney 2x in a year so although they may get some repeaters I don't think this promotion is going to fill the resorts up for them. Just my two cents...

I agree. I think being a part of the DIS community sometimes makes it seem that everyone who goes to WDW thinks like we do. As big as the DIS is, my opinion is that we're still in the minority, most don't constantly watch for discounts or are repeat visitors or go multiple times per year. We're an obsessed bunch I tell 'ya! I feel we have a chance at Free Dining next year. Just my .02. ;)

Well said . . . sometimes I forget there are "others" outside of our DISworld who don't think exactly like we do :rotfl:

I hope they offer it in the spring or extend the offer they have now (return trip booking) so we can sign up for a trip with the youngin's for next winter. The current booking offer is scheduled to be over before DH and I get there. :(
