Newport bay hotel boutique/shop closure?

Hi everyone,

I just remembered that I meant to ask does anyone have any idea why the NPB hotel shop is closed currently?
When we went last week it was closed for the duration of our trip.

I know they're doing refurbs on the pool and sauna etc but didn't read anywhere that this also included the shop?

Does anyone have any info on this with regards to when it's due to re-open/why it's closed?

No idea of timescales but I read in TA forum that they are completely redoing the floor where reception and the shop are so have closed them. Apparently reception has a temporary home somewhere else.

Oh really? I didn't realise that they were refurbishing those area's also! It's strange as the reception/check-in area were all completely fine.

Hopefully it reopens soon as I love that shop!

Oh that's a shame, didn't realise it was going to be closed for so long, I enjoy going in there after a day in the parks! Oh wel.
