Hi everyone! My fiance just asked me to marry him a few weeks ago and we just set our date for August 11, 2007! We will be getting married at the Rose Court Garden at the Disneyland Hotel followed by a reception at the Pavilion at the Disneyland Hotel. Any advice/info is welcome :)

We booked Cinderella's coach, which I am VERY excited about! Any other cinderella themed ideas? We are probably going to fill tiny glass slippers with candy for favors.

Congratulations on your engagement and Best Wishes on your upcoming wedding!! You will get a lot of great advice on these boards

DH and I were also married in the RCH but had our reception in the Trillium Room over at the Grand. We did the Cinderella slippers with M&M's as one of our favors. The coach is very nice BTW. Feel free to ask any questions.

Thanks gals! Ranger Pooh~Who was your wedding consultant at disnleyland? Is there anything that you wish you would have known before your wedding? Where/who did your hair/makeup? I would love to see pics from your ceremony if you don't mind.

I got married at Disney World, but I'm sure the two places are similar. It was the best experience ever! They are wonderful there. If you have a wedding planner, user her! I called all the time with questions and she was very good about helping. I had makeup, manicure, and my hair done in my room so I didn't even have go anywhere outside my room the morning of; we even ordered room service for breakfast. They also came to my room to press my dress the day before. I had a small intimate wedding therefore, I didn't do the coach and all the glitz so I can't help you there, but the video of the wedding was awesome! They had 3 or 4 cameras already in the chapel so they had different angles of our ceremony and they interviewed both my husband and I before the ceremony. The editing and music was wonderful. The pictures their photographer took were also beautiful. All the choices for flowers, cake, minister, etc. were mailed to my house and all I had to do was check off what I wanted. I was a little nervous about not actually seeing the finished products before the wedding, but it all turned out better than I could have imagined. In fact, my updo was better for the wedding there than it was at the hair salon I went to for my reception when I got home, and I did practice runs with her. As far as the parks go, as cheesy as it may sound, get the bride and groom ears! People bought drinks for us, we got free desserts at restaurants, and cast members gave us special treatment all over the park. The free gift they gave us after we got married was really nice. Hope this helps. Congrats and good luck! :bride:

Thanks so much for replying soccr20!! It sounds like you had an amazing wedding...I am sooo excited!

Congratulations!!! 12 months is going to go by in a BLINK...seriously...I feel like my DF and I just got engaged...we were just going across the country so that he could meet my family and now here I am, 3 days away from the whirlwind!! (once I leave for Ireland it will be non stop till the wedding!!!)

Enjoy this time as you plan and dream about your future together! (which is what I did!) It will be here before you know it! :Pinkbounc

DH and I were married at the RCG and used the pavillion room for our reception too. We also had the carriage! Congratulations it will be beautiful!

Our Sales Manager was Chuck Rodriguez who has since returned to WDW FTW. Our Engagement Manager was Cynthia Autry who we really liked! And our Day of Coordinator was Leslie who is no longer there but was Awesome! From what I ahve heard many of the newer coordinators at FTW are really great to work with.

I really wish that we had asked to switch SM as we were regularly told that the things we wanted could not be obtained. They were later offered to others which teed us off a bit. However our wedding was still great. Just make sure that you go to your planning session prepared and communicate thoroughly with your planners. Don't feel sheepish about asking questions either.

I had a family member do my hair and I did my own makeup. I know that others have used Hair Comes the Bride. FTW will provide you with a "getting ready" room at the DLH. Ours was the Alamitos Room which is located on the first floor of the Sierra Tower. It accommodated 6 of us just fine. others have used the Yorba Room which is a bit larger.

I'll post a few pics, but they will probably be pretty big.

I've got no helpful advice, but I just wanted to congratulate you! :yay:

Thanks for the congrats :)

Ranger Pooh~Your wedding looks like it was amazing!! Our sales mng is Cynthia and so far we really like her. We had someone before her who was telling me no to everything I was requesting without even checking so I asked to be switched and Cynthia is excellent. If you can think of any other helpful tips that would be great :) Oh yeah...who took your pics?

Cynthia is wonderful! She is on top of things and is thoroughly aware of what is and isn't offered.

Our photographers were Doug and Chenin Boutwell. Many DL couples ahve gone with them since we used them. Their work is great!

congrats on your engagement!

We had a DL wedding last september! RCG ceremony, DCA sun plaza reception...It was the best wedding ever! LOL Even now, as we are coming up on 1 year, I look at our pics and think, gee that was a nice wedding! :rotfl:

Anyway, we also used the Boutwells for photography...they are the BEST! I used Hair Comes the Bride for hair and makeup.

SM was ana, then cynthia, then Jennifer
EM was mary ann, then Kelly (who's awesome)
day of was Julie

p.s. rangerpooh, I don't think I ever saw your pics...they are awesome! :thumbsup2 we love doug and chenin...

p.p.s. is it wrong to use "awesome" twice in a post?? :rotfl2:
